Auto Job Allocation for Blueprints

The Auto Job Allocation task type runs the Job Allocation process on demand or on a recurring schedule to fill Blueprint jobs. This task allocates Blueprint jobs for the target period up to 14 days (From - Through), using the selected Job Allocation Strategy for the selected Organization level and Shifts.

  1. Go to the Task Manager in the System area in Setup to create a new task.
  2. Click Add
  3. Enter a name for this job in the General tab.
  4. Leave the remaining and default settings as is.
  5. Click the Task tab to create a task.
  6. Enter a name for this task in the Task tab. Generally, the same name provided in the General tab is used here.
  7. Select Auto Job Allocation for Blueprints in Task Type.
  8. Set your From Date* and Through Date* values. Use Dynamic Dates to target a date range. Dynamic Date entries are case sensitive. Some examples below:
    • To target the seventh day in the future, type TODAY+7DAYS in From Date. Type TODAY+7DAYS in Through Date.
    • To target tomorrow and the next day, type TODAY+1DAY in From Date. Type TODAY+2DAYS in Through Date.
  9. Limit to Institution limits task operation to the selected institution. Application appears as follows...
    • If Institution Focus is disabled, this application displays a list of institutions in the drop-down. Defaults to <none> (all). Field optional.
    • If Institution Focus is enabled, this application displays a list of institutions as defined by your Institution Focus privileges. Defaults to focused institution. Field is required.
  10. Organization filters jobs by Organization. Select one or more Organization levels. Options are...
    • If Institution Focus is disabled, this application displays organization levels as defined in the application. Defaults to Search for an item. Type the name of the organization to return matching values, or type the% sign to return all values. Field is required.
    • If Institution Focus is enabled, this application displays a list of organization levels for the focused institution. Defaults to Search for an item. Type the name of the organization to return matching values, or type the% sign to return all values. Field is required.
  11. Select one or more shifts to return jobs for the selected shifts. Returns all if <none> selected. Returns all shifts when Institution Focus is disabled. When Institution Focus is enabled, this field returns all shifts for the focused institution only.
  12. Select a Job Allocation Strategy. Required.
  13. Click Save.
