Auto Notify Task Type Example

This task requires System Access to the Task Manager in the System area in Setup.

Use the Auto-Notify task type to automatically notify personnel of work codes added to that staff member’s record. Only the work codes configured with the Auto-Notify if Appropriate setting are returned using this task.

  1. Go to the Task Manager in the System area in Setup to create a new task.
  2. Click Add.
  3. Enter a name for this job in the General tab.
  4. Leave the remaining and default settings as is.
  5. Click the Task tab to create a task.
  6. Enter a name for this task in the Task tab. Generally, the same name provided in the General tab is used here.
  7. Select Auto-Notify from the Task Type drop-down.
  8. Set From Date* and Through Date* values. Use Dynamic Dates to target a date range. Dynamic Date entries are case sensitive. For example, to target and return auto notify records for tomorrow, type TODAY+1DAY in From Date. Type TODAY+1DAYin Through Date.
  9. Select one or more shifts to return auto notify type records active for the selected Shift. None Selected returns active auto-notify records for all of the shifts listed.
  10. Select one or more regions to return auto notify type records active in the selected Region. None Selected returns active auto-notify records for all of the regions listed.
  11. Type the number of minutes desired in Attempt for the next [x] minutes (0=60 minutes). After firing this task only attempt for [x] minutes.
  12. Select a contact method in Limit the Contact Method. None Selected utilizes all of the contact methods listed in the selected person’s general record.
  13. Click Save.
