The General area contains information generic to the Task itself. From this tab you can enter a name and description for the Task and view last run data.

Job Status | Jobs can be individually enabled or disabled. Allows you to temporarily disable a Job without deleting it. Also, used to enable jobs that were disabled due to failure. |
Name | The job name. |
Description | A job description. For example, a summary of tasks associated with this job. |
Run Schedule | Displays the status of the job. For example, the last time the Task ran (Time), how long the Task took to run (Duration), and the description of the outcome of the last run (Description). |
Email when job complete | Sends a notification when a Task job is successful. |
Email when task(s) fail | Sends a notification when a Task Job fails. Note:
Select both Email when job complete and Email when task(s) fail to always be notified. |
Recipient Address | An email address for the recipient. |
Sender Address | An email address for the sender. |
Task tab contains all of the tasks available. Select the task type from the corresponding menu-box to access the properties for the desired task type.

box is the text that will appear in the text box under the Task-Type drop-down
list in the Task Properties area.

Run Condition | By default a Task will not run when a previous
Task within the same Job fails. This behavior, however, can be changed. Self-descriptive Only

Task Type | Contains task types. Select a type from the list to display the definition of the selected task. |
Parameters panel | Parameter values are specific to the Task Type. Available parameters display for each specific task type. Parameters Required parameters display an asterisk *. |
Note:
A cursor displays in the cell when the parameter specifies a text only entry. Type the data required. Otherwise use the drop-down menu box to display your options, such as dynamic date entry, file browse, or select an item. |
There are various ways to create a schedule to initiate task jobs. Schedules may run one time, use a Cron expression, or a Dynamic Date (Advanced).

Schedule Type | Schedule types. Each type can define the Next Run Time. Choices are: One time, Advanced (Dynamic Date), or a Cron Expression. |
Schedule Options | Schedule options display for each Schedule Type. |
Next Run Time | Displays the next time the job will run based
on your schedule settings. Use the Next Run Time to validate that
you have correctly configured the schedule. Note:
“Never’ appears in Next Run Time when no future run times for the schedule are configured. This includes a backdated One Time schedule. |
Don’t Run Before | Limits the effective start date of the Schedule. |
Don’t Run After | Limits the lifetime of the Schedule. Combined with the No Run Before field, the schedule can be defined to only run for a defined period of time. |
