Setup Dynamic Issues

Dynamic issues are rules designed to stop the usage of a work codes based on certain parameters (business rules). Dynamic Issues are rules that define when a work code is allowed to be submitted by an employee, or denied at the point of entry, or converted to a request.

Dynamic issue severity levels appear when using the following functions:

For organizations who utilize Institution Focus, Dynamic Issues are hard limited to the focused institution. For example, a Count Occurrences type issue would only count work codes occurring in the currently focused institution.

Additionally, security permissions Issues: Deny Level One; Issues: Deny Level Two; Calendar: Add/Edit Code; Roster: Edit Basic; and Roster: Edit Advance further control dynamic issue and static issue behavior. For additional information see topic: Authority Permission Settings.
