Work code composition varies across customers. Some
fields in the work code configuration window may not apply to every
business process.
The standard work code configuration utilizes only a small portion
of the fields. Business rules, payroll requirements, desired Roster
behavior, security controls, accruals... are all contributing factors
in determining work code configuration.
Use the following areas within a work code to do the following:
- General- sets base work code field parameters.
- Flexible Time Editing- sets strategies to suppress shift
assignments or vacancies or both.
- Advanced (Check for...)- tags system derived rules to
further determine work code behavior on the Roster and Calendar.
- Authority- limits access to the work code.
- Logging - assigns a Logging behavior to the work code.
- Issues - applies a Dynamic Issue to the work code.
- Cover - attaches a Cover person to the work code; for
example, a shift trade work code.
- Accrual - creates accrual group banks; for example, vacation earned.
