Copy Unit Field Descriptions

Field Name Copy Unit Field Description
Copy Another Used to copy the selected Unit on a different day with the same or different event parameters while retaining the selected panel open. Important: You must select Copy Another prior to clicking the Save button.
Shift The suggested shift for the selected Unit. Select the Shift that this Unit will be copied into. Important:When multiple shifts are attached to a Unit, the system selects any shift - be sure to verify the shift before saving.
Date Defaults to the selected Roster date. To add another unit on a different day while maintaining the Copy Unit panel open select Copy Another prior to clicking the Save button.
From Defines the start time of the Position.
Through Defines the end time of the Position.
Hours Defines the total number of hours from start to end of the entire shift which may include shift breaks in between.
Special Deploy Displays all Extra Units. Extra Units do not require a unit to be attached in Setup> Institutions > Extra Units. Depending on how the selected Extra Unit was configured a unit may or may not populate. Extra Units have the ability to display on the Roster without a defined Unit assigned.
Copy Select the check box to copy the corresponding record.
Position Displays the Positions for the selected Unit.
Person Displays the staff member filling the corresponding Position. To copy the Unit to another Roster Date without the staff members select <none> in the Person column header drop-down menu box.
Work Code Displays the work code that will be assigned to the staff member. The system evaluates each staff member and because of this you may see different work codes applied such as Overtime for off-duty days and Straight Pay for regularly scheduled days.
Detail Code Used to enter a detail code relevant to the selected work code.
Resolve All Conflict This area displays a warning if any of the copied staff members have a scheduling conflict for the day they are being copied into such as, already scheduled or on Vacation. Select the check box to resolve a shift staffing conflict for the respective staff member.
  Important: If you have a conflict, and this check box is left cleared, the system will copy the person to the Unit and keep the conflicting record on the Roster.
Default Options Used to assign default settings for:
  • Show All Shifts - displays all of the shifts available to copy this Unit into. Setting this option will apply for all subsequent logins.

  • On Duty Code - use to set the default work code for staff members who are copied into a Unit on a Roster day they are regularly scheduled to work.

  • Code - The detail code for the corresponding on duty work code.

  • Off Duty Code - use to set the default work code for staff members who will be copied into a Unit on a Roster day they are not regularly scheduled to work; their off-day.

  • Code - The detail code for the corresponding off duty day work code.

  • Save Options - Used to save the default options.

Unique Identifier The system internal ID number.
