In application version 7.5 real-time specialty calculations and profile name evaluation were added to various locations of the application, and in some areas removed. Prior to version 7.5 the person’s name was stored in two areas, the resource master table and the resource table. The resource master table stores the name of the person (First, MI, Last). The resource table stored and concatenated the person’s name and their specialties. Prior to application 7.5 in many places of the application where the resource table was called, the specialties displayed but the calculation of the effective and expiration date of the specialty was inconsistent. In version 7.5 the name column (rsc_name_ch) in the resource table was removed as it is now calculated. The application now performs legacy specialty, skill, and certification calculations in real-time for the person such that any time-based display of the name concatenated with specialties will display the person’s name and specialties as of the date being queried. Custom Reports: Since the database column rsc_name_ch was removed from the table resource_tbl, any custom report utilizing this column will break upon upgrade. See KB Article: 000156200 for additional information. |
Specialties display next to the person’s name throughout various areas of the application. Some notable areas where specialties appear next to the person’s name include: People, Roster, Reports, Exports, and the Multi-Day view.
Multi-Day Behavior: The Multi-Day targets a period, therefore, the application will use the resource name and the first day of the week displayed in the period to determine whether or not to display the specialty.
Fill by Rules Behavior: On the Fill by Rules window, the specialties that appear next to the person's name are based on the Roster calendar date (not based on the start/end of the vacancy).
