The self-fill feature allows employees to staff themselves into a job vacancy using Fill By Rules Qualified If... and Unavailable If... business rule parameters. However, in a self-fill environment where the candidate lands in the the sort order is not a deciding factor provided that other qualifiers are met.
The self-fill is typically used to staff special events or vacancies that do not fulfill a minimum staffing requirement.
To identify vacant jobs with the self-fill feature enabled, locate the dollar sign $ icon next to the job vacancy.
Special events may be configured to automatically enable the self-fill feature next to the position using Event Types. To automatically enable the self-fill function within a date range, use the task type, Auto-Fix Vacancy available in the Task Manager.
