Disable Unit...via the Roster

This task covers several methods to disable a Unit or Position. If you can disable the Unit...you can enable that unit, same steps apply.

Quick-Click Disable Unit

The purpose of the quick disable feature is to disable units without interrupting the workflow. This means optional closure notes or advanced options are not presented, but still applicable via the Advanced Options link.

  1. Go to the Roster > locate the Unit to disable.
  2. Click the Unit.
  3. Click Disable. If a closure note is required the application will prompt you to select one.

Disable a Unit...via Advanced Options

Advanced Options display all of your options for the selected Unit, such as optional closure notes, or to control Roster Alarms, or disable the same unit on another shift.

  1. Go to the Roster > locate the Unit to disable.
  2. Click the Unit.
  3. Click the status link to navigate to the Advanced Options dialog.
  4. Click Disabledto show Advanced Options:
    • Note shifts if multiple, click Disabled for the desired shifts only.
    • Click the Disable Allbutton to disable the selected unit across all shifts.
    • Select Suppress Alarm check box to suppress all of the alarms associated with the target unit (Default behavior).
    • Clear the check box Suppress Alarms to retain in effect all of the alarms associated with the target unit.
  5. Click Save to confirm your selections.

Quick-Click Disable Position

The purpose of the quick disable feature is to disable a position without interrupting the workflow. This means optional closure notes or advanced options are not presented, but still applicable via the Advanced Options link.

  1. Go to the Roster > locate the position to disable.
  2. Click the Position to open the menu options.
  3. Click Disable. If a closure note is required the application will prompt you to select one.

Quick-Click Disable Multiple Positions

The purpose of the quick disable feature is to disable positions without interrupting the workflow. This means optional closure notes or advanced options are not presented, but still applicable via the Advanced Options link.

  1. Go to the Roster > locate and select the positions to disable, same unit or across units and shifts are allowed.
  2. Click one of the selected positions to open the menu options.
  3. Click Disable. If a closure note is required the application will prompt you to select one.

Disable a Position via Advanced Options

The Advanced Options method is used when you want all of your options for that given position presented, such as optional closure notes or to control Roster Alarms. Additionally, it is possible to select positions with different statuses and or types of closure notes. When different statuses are selected such as a mix of enabled and disabled positions the system will show a status of ‘Mixed ‘values and will present the options based on the given criteria for the target position.

  1. Go to the Roster > locate the Position to disable.
  2. Click the Position to open the menu options.
  3. Click the status link to navigate to the Advanced Options dialog.
  4. Click Disabled to show Advanced Options:
    • Click Disabled for the applicable shift only.
    • Select Suppress Alarm check box to suppress all of the alarms associated with the target unit (Default behavior).
    • Clear the check box Suppress Alarms to retain in effect all of the alarms associated with the target unit.
    • Select or add an optional note if closure notes are configured as optional for that Unit.
  5. Click Save to confirm your selections.
