About Bidding Quantities

Bidding Quantities allows an Auction Item to dynamically change its quantity depending on the person bidding on the item. Bidding Quantities define who and how many people can take time-off out of the total Static Max, or the Bidding Quantities total.

Bidding Quantities are attached or assigned to an Auction Item during an auction’s configuration. The result is an Auction Item that can have different quantities (including a lack of quantity) for different groups of bidders. Because of this behavior one or more groups of people will only be allowed to win one set quantity of an item. In other words, they may be prohibited from winning an item because the quantity assigned to their group has run out (Sold Out).

The power of bidding quantities allows the creation of a single Auction Item with multiple quantities.

Note:

Only the time-off work codes processed within the Bidding module contribute to the Bidding Quantities maximum. The same time-off codes already on the Roster through some other method do not contribute towards the total Bidding Quantities count.
