The Bid Management feature is a very powerful tool used for adding, removing, and editing bids; and for resolving and awarding Auction Items.
The Bid Management screen runs rules but allows the users to bypass the rules when adding, removing, and changing records. For instance, dynamic issues if triggered will not prevent the user from making the intended changes.
Important |
---|
Be careful when using the Bid Management screen. This powerful tool could generate some really strange, and probably undesirable results. Keep in mind, if you can’t do it through the normal interface method and you encounter issues, be sure you know what you’re doing before you click OK. |
WARNING |
---|
Awarding an item is the one thing the Bid Management window will not allow you to fully undo. You can remove the database record of an award (the check mark will be gone), but changes made to the database during the award process (e.g., changes to a staff member’s records) cannot be undone by any automation. You should know exactly what each and every award process will do, before you employ it. |
