Bidders List Plan Example

The task below shows an example of a typical List Plan to form a list of bidders. Specific configuration requirements vary across customers and industries. Use the steps below to obtain a general idea of how to configure a List Plan to use in one of the example auction tasks provided.This List Plan will target a specific Shift, Job Title, and then sort these candidates by their hire date. A List Plan may contain one or more Rules, List Targets, Lists, List Chains in this order.Follow the five step process below to configure a Bidders List Plan.

First, create the Rules:

SHIFT Rule
  1. Go to Setup > Rules > Rule
  2. Click Add.
  3. In Name*, label the Rule. For example, Shift Day Rule.
  4. Click the Base Rule tab.
  5. In Base Rule, select People Filter.
  6. In Arguments, click Add.
  7. In Argument Values, select the following options:
  8. Assignment: Shift > Who is > One of > On Target Date > For All Assignments.
  9. In Selections, select one Shift to reflect one group of bidders for this example.
  10. In Build Moment, replace the dynamic condition START with TARGET. Doing so will return candidates assigned to the selected shift on the target date which is the effective date of the first auction item and typically a future date.
  11. Leave the remaining settings as is.
  12. Click Save.
JOB TITLE Rule
  1. Go to Setup > Rules > Rule
  2. Click Add.
  3. In Name*, label the Rule. For example, Job Title Rule.
  4. Click the Base Rule tab.
  5. In Base Rule, select People Filter.
  6. In Arguments, click Add.
  7. In Argument Values, select the following options: Profile: Rank > Who is > One of > On Target Date > For All Assignments
  8. In Selections, select one Rank or Job Title to reflect one group of bidders to test this example. Doing so will return a shorter list of candidates for testing.
  9. In Build Moment, replace the dynamic condition START with TARGET. Doing so will return candidates assigned to the selected job title on the target date which is the effective date of the first auction item and typically a future date.
  10. Leave the remaining settings as is
  11. Click Save.
SPECIAL DATE Rule
  1. Go to Setup > Rules > Rule
  2. Click Add.
  3. In Name*, label the Rule. For example, Seniority Rule.
  4. Leave the default settings as is and click Save.
Bidders List Target
  1. Go to Setup > Rules > List Target
  2. Click Add.
  3. In Name*, label the List Target. For example, Bidders List Target.
  4. In Work Code, select Regular Duty or equivalent.
  5. In Rules, click Add > Qualified if.
  6. In Rule*, select the Job Title Rule previously created and click Save.
  7. Repeat the previous step, but select the Shift Rule and click Save. The Seniority Rule will be added in the next step, the List.
Bidders List
  1. Go to Setup > Rules > List
  2. Click Add.
  3. In Name*, label the List. For example, Bidders List.
  4. In Execution Context, select Bidding.
  5. In List Targets, select the Bidders List Target.
  6. In Rules, Click Add > Sort...
  7. In Rule, select Seniority Rule > click Ascending.
  8. Leave the remaining default settings as is.
  9. Click Save.
Bidders List Chain
  1. Go to Setup > Rules > List Chain
  2. Click Add.
  3. In Name*, label the List Chain. For example, Bidders List Chain.
  4. In Abbreviation, enter an abbreviation for this List Chain.
  5. In Execution Context, select Bidding.
  6. In List*, select the Bidders List.
  7. Click Save.
Bidders List Plan
  1. Go to Setup > Rules > List Plan
  2. Click Add.
  3. In Name*, label the List Plan. For example, Bidders List Plan.
  4. In Execution Context, select Bidding.
  5. In Work Code > Assigned, select the Regular Duty work code or equivalent for this example.
  6. In Default List Chain, select the Bidders List Chain.
  7. Click Save.
