Generate Field Descriptions

Important
The field names do not account for terminology changes that affect field names.

Position

Field Name	Field Description
Include Organization (Levels)	The resulting Auction Item tree will contain a level for each item selected in this field, plus one level for the leaf or child level position. For example, if Shift 1 is the target then only the positions assigned to that shift will be included.
Assignment From Date	The start date of the assignment. This is the From field in the Assignment tab.
Assignment Through Date	The end date of the assignment. This is the Through field in the Assignment tab. Best practice, leave this field blank to allow the Bidding module to automatically end the assignment based on the next auctions From date.
Limit Shift	Specifies the Shift or Shifts to generate positions for. If blank, all of the shifts defined will be included.
Limit Institution	Specifies which Institution or Institutions should be included in the Auction item tree. If blank, all of the institutions defined will be included.
Limit Agency	Specifies which Agency or Agencies should be included in the Auction item tree. If blank, all of the agencies defined will be included.
Limit Region	Specifies which Region or Regions should be included in the Auction Item tree. If blank, all of the regions defined will be included.
Limit Station	Specifies which Station or Stations should be included in the Auction Item tree. If blank, all of the stations defined will be included.
Limit Unit	Specifies which Unit or Units should be included in the Auction Item tree. If blank, all of the units defined will be included.
Limit Position	Specifies which Position or Positions should be included in the Auction Item tree. If blank, all of the positions defined will be included.
Limit Job Title	Specifies which Job Title or Job Titles should be included in the Auction Item tree. If blank, all of the Job Titles defined will be included.
Shift Positions Only	Choices are: Select <yes> to create auction items only for positions that have a defined shift. This means the position in the organizational structure has a shift assignment. Select <No> to generate positions regardless of whether a shift assignment is present in the position.
Limit Specialty	Specifies which Specialty or Specialties should be included in the Auction Item tree. If blank, all of the specialties defined will be included.
Limit Group	Specifies which Group or Groups should be included in the Auction Item tree. If blank, all of the stations defined will be included.
Name Formula ID	The Formula ID to be used for the leaf or child auction items.
Desc Formula ID	The Description for the Formula ID.
Shift Positions Only	Limits to only those Positions associated with the targeted Shift or Shifts.

Roster

Field Name	Field Description

Roster Limit	The Roster View used to focus auction item generation.
Just Vacancies	Limits auction item generation to only vacant positions.
From Date	The first inclusive roster date used to generate auction items.
Through Date	The last inclusive roster date used to generate auction items.
Work Code	The Work Code assigned when an auction item is awarded. if left blank, the Work Code specified by the roster record will used.

Limit Position	Specifies which Position or Positions should be included in the Auction Item tree. If blank, all of the positions defined will be included.
Limit Job Title	Specifies which Job Title or Job Titles should be included in the Auction Item tree. If blank, all of the Job Titles defined will be included.
Limit Unit Type	Specifies which Unit Type or Unit Types should be included in the Auction Item tree. If blank, all of the Unit Types defined will be included.
Staffing Detail	The Staffing Detail assigned when an auction item is awarded. If blank, the Staffing Detail specified by the Roster Record if one exists will be used.
Limit Specialty	Specifies which Specialty or Specialties should be included in the Auction Item tree. If blank, all of the specialties defined will be included.
Limit Group	Specifies which Group or Groups should be included in the Auction Item tree. If blank, all of the stations defined will be included.
Name Formula ID	The Formula ID to be used for the leaf or child auction items.
Desc Formula ID	The Description for the Formula ID.

Work Code

Field Name	Field Description
*Work Code	Specifies which Work Code will be placed on the awardee’s calendar and which work code will be used by the Rules to determine win qualifications. *Required.
*For these shifts	Specifies which shift or shifts will be included for Auction Items. * Required.
	Note: Select one shift if separate auctions are desired. This means the user will only see one auction and eligible auction items within, or select multiple shifts to create one auction encompassing several shifts. This means the user will see multiple shifts in the auction but only the eligible dates will have the Bid button enabled. Best practice, separate the auctions to prevent user confusion and a cluttered auction with many non-applicable auction items visible to the bidder.
Staffing Detail	The Staffing Detail assigned when an auction item is awarded. If blank, the Staffing Detail specified by the Roster Record if one exists will be used.
From Date	The first inclusive date used to generate auction items.
Through Date	The last inclusive date used to generate auction items.
Target What Days in Cycle	Specifies which days in each Shift cycle, work codes should be applied. Choices are: Shift Days Only - work codes will apply to shift ‘scheduled’ pattern days only. Non-Shift Days Only - work codes will apply to non-shift pattern days. Any or All Days in Cycle - work codes should be applied to each and every day in each shift cycle.
Group Shift Pattern Days	Specifies how leaf items should be organized under parent items. Choices are: Shift Cycles - A leaf or child item will be created for each Shift Cycle, for each shift. The leaf items will be grouped under a parent item generically labeled ‘Cycle {x}’. Calendar Days - A leaf or child item will be created for each applicable shift. Leaf items will be grouped under a parent item representing a single day.
Name Formula ID	The Formula ID to be used for the leaf or child auction items.
Desc Formula ID	The Description for the Formula ID.
