Configure a New Auction

  • A Bidders List Plan to create the list of bidders. Required for both Queue and Preference auctions.
  • A Win Order List Plan to determine winners for a Preference auction. In advanced Queue type auctions a List Plan may be required to determine winners (rare usage).

To configure a new auction and generate auction items for the Auction:

  1. Go to Setup > Bidding > Auction
  2. Click Add to create a new auction.
  3. In the Auction screen, configure the fields as desired. See Setup Auction Properties Field Descriptions for field definitions. Required settings are:

    • Name

    • Bid Method

    • Bidders

    • Win Order

    A Preference auction always requires a List Plan in the Win Order menu box, whereas the Queue auction generally does not require a List Plan in the Win Order menu box.

  4. Click Save.
