Move a Station to Other Region (Reparenting)

Reparenting in the Organization structure is the ability to move stations to a different Region. Reparenting enables at the Station level, this means only stations and corresponding units and positions can be moved to a different Region.

It is very important to use caution when re-parenting stations because all of the corresponding units and positions will follow that Station that could result in an undesirable outcome with - no Undo function. For instance, historical records will change as past Rosters will show the new parent association, which may include finalized records. Export interfaces, such as payroll, CAD, and RMS may fail, and data mapping elements may need reconfiguration. Auction items might need to be regenerated to show the new parent association. Dynamic Conditions and Rules referencing organization gray numbers may need to be reconfigured to point to the new gray number. Attachments within Institution Focused databases may need to be recreated or removed. To reparent a Station to another Region in the Organization section of the Setup area:

Click the desired Station, and click the gear icon.
Select Turn On Reparenting. Read the confirmation alert, and click OK to proceed or click Cancel.
Press and hold the arrow next to the Station. Drag the Station to the desired Region.
