Contact Log

This topic provides and over view of the Contact Log and explains the types of records captured in the Contact Log.

The Contact Log tracks system contact attempts associated with manual or automated staffing, messages, and notifications.

The Contact Log contains information such as: the reason for the contact attempt, who was contacted, what type of contact was made, who made the contact, when the contact was made, and when the job offer expires.

The Contact Log displays the following contact attempts:

  • Fill Vacancy - Displays a job opportunity with the option to accept or reject the job. The word ‘Vacancy’ will appear as the type of Contact Log.
  • Messages - Displays messages sent to employees. If the message is received the text appears in the Contact Log. The message remains in this dialog until it is acknowledged.
  • Notifications - Displays detail information about an Assignment. The notification remains in this dialog until it is acknowledged.
Note: Workforce Management integrations can control Contact Log behavior in Tenant Properties using the wfd.contact.log.allowed property. The default is false. When false, the Contact Log will not persists across TeleStaff pages in a Common UI when the Contact Log contains notifications pending action. When true, the Contact Log will appear on the target page in a Common UI where the user will be prompted to take action using Accept, Reject, or Skip All functions. When Skip All is selected, the Contact Log will no longer persist for the logged in session. Upon log out and log in the Contact Log will again persist until the user takes action.
