Time Earned

This topic explains how this application evaluates time-earned, also known as Accruals.

This application calculates time earned using Accrual Groups.

A nonworking type work code and a working type work code are required to create an Accrual Group. A non-working type work code deducts time from an Accrual Group. A working type work code adds time to an Accrual Group.

The Accrual Report provides time earned and time taken totals. All instances of time earned and taken add or deduct time towards a bank of hours.

Note: It is important to understand how this application handles time-earned and accrual banks. Work codes are connected by an accrual group name association, and time values are calculated across all work codes within the same accrual group name including historical work code records. To omit historical records from the calculated total, new time earned work codes are required in order to exclude any references of historical time taken.
